Haven't posted a comment here in ages, but this was worth coming out of retirement for. Some great stuff! Marden Hill, Aislers Set, Sex Clark Five, Pale Saints and the original Chin Chin from Switzerland. Nice!

You're amazing. May the Beatles covers well never run dry.

Great to see this posted! It's been so long, I can't remember if I was odds or evens! :) Excellent artwork as usual, and I like the "undefined" theme. Pretty much describes my life.

Great to see you back, my fab four-loving pal. May the well of Beatles' cover s never run dry. So impressed that you're up to volume 13 of female-sung Beatles covers. Thanks for the DL link, as I'm unfamiliar with all of the above, said the pupil to the master.

Great to see you still posting here, buddy. You still got it! Not much I know here, except for Lena. The singer looks so hot in the 99 Luftballons video. Oh shit, that's Nena. Nevermind.

Hey Sue! I know I commented almost exactly 5 years ago, but I just discovered that great Pastels song and had to see who else here knew about it. Of course it had to be you! (and one other person who did a Pastels single artist mix). Damn, I miss the golden days of AOTM.

Oh Jamie B - won't you play with me? Good to see a post from you here at AOTM. THe neighborhood has changed a bit since you last dro-pped in, hasn't it? ANyway, this looks like a typical fab indie pop mix from you with old fave like the Popguns, Language of Flowers, Dentists, Girls At Our Best, Red Sleeping Beauty, etc. Have you heard Burning Hearts? They're a spinoff band from La Futur Pompiste and of course they're wonderful. Oh, and happy birthday Erin!

Guilty pleasure? Me thinks not. Now if this compiled the best of their later white suit/SNL lampooned years, then yes, by all means, a guilty pleasure. So much fantastic stuff here, including a few of those cool bonus tracks like Bridges Crossing Rivers, Out of Line and Jumbo which were tacked on to the reissues. I only wish the Odessa CD had the fuzzy felt cover. So what does one have to do to get a copy of this?!

Wow! Wasn't expecting to see another one of these, especially because the site was so problematic through most of 2008. I see that posts are down about 75 percent from five years ago. Sorry that this will be your last hurrah here at AOTM. Definitely the en-d of an era. Thanks for being a pal and trading buddy - and I hope that we'll continue our cyberspace relationship.

Fantastic! My personal mix of the week. Some great toons from a variety of genres and eras. Did you consider using Husker Du's cover of the MTM theme instead of "Turn On the News"? Can't go wrong with either choice.

Dandy mix! I have yet to do a mix like this (for any year), but I'm sure if I did, it would include much of the above (Vamp Weeke-nd, Fleet Foxes, She & Him, Explorers Club, Conchords)

Volume 12?!? Looks good, old pal. And I'm shocked you were able to post the whole thing, since everyone else appears to be having problems on AOTM. Will give this a listen later this week.

Super stuff!: Shoppies, The Clean (have you heard Love Is All's "version" of this song?), Nerves, Calamites (oui oui!), Henry's Dress, Mo-dettes (I heard their album's getting reissued and GBV. Cameron's a lucky chap

Looks very joyous, my frie-nd. Haven't heard it yet, but what I know I like: Free Design, Manning, Fastbacks, TFC, Conchords, YLT, Stars, etc. Have you heard the Most Serene remix of "Ageless Beauty"? About the only instrumentation is an acoustic bluesy guitar and piano and those gorgeous Lush-like vocals. Great claymation version of Johnny Lydon on the cover.

Moe's Favorite Mixes
see above
This, along with retro-a-go-go, is a great collection of songs that celebrates my favorite era in pop music, the late 60s. I'll be investigating the bands I'm not familiar with.
oldie, but a goodie. A rediscovered favorite.
Lots of cool artists add up to a cool mix. Hell, even my AOTM hero Stephen Royce commented on it
Great collection! Need to check out some of the artists I'm unfamiliar with.

Great debut! Lovin' the Slits, Huggy Bear, Go Sailor, X-Ray Spex and Cub, just to name a few. In the indecipherable words of Liliput: Nice! Cool low budget "uninspired" cover art too :)
