BEST. MIXTAPE. TITLE. EVER.

Am only familiar with that Sleater-Kinney track, but I love the title.

I'm not sure all of this would work post-coitially for me, but there's some lovely stuff here. That sonic youth track is ace. Actually, a mix to go along with that cigarette would be a pretty good theme. Hm...have to find myself a girlfriend first, though.

Stoned? I don't doubt it.

Looks like a seriously wasted adolescence. Good job.

Shoegaze lives. I'm not familiar with everything you've got on here, but this looks good.

An awesome concept. Lots of awesome songs.

I don't know who you are, but there's some pretty good stuff here.

That Mirah track is pure delicousness.

I like some of these bands and dislike others, but this is an awesome idea for a mix

I notice there's no "Crash into Me" by the Dave Mathews Band. I haven't heard that one, but I'm assuming it's a good thing.

What about Jonathan Richman? Every second tune he writes is about Boston, MA. I recommend "Roadrunner," "Government Center" and "Girlfriend."

Love the concept! Maybe I'll try one of these myself.

Great concept, I might do one of these myself.

Oooh, there's some obscuro, and lovely, stuff here. The Spacemen doing "Transparent Radiation" rocks my socks off, for real.

That Paula Cole song gets me all melty. I like the fact that this gets sexual/religious at the same time. Neat idea!

Oh, sure. Joan Jett and Sex Pistols versions are acceptable too, even if Joan Jett's namecheck's New York, I think.

Dreamy, lazy indie for some lucky recipient over in Oz. I think it worked out pretty well, but I assume they already had that Clean track.

Rocked out electro-rock. Party starters, all.

Made with real gratitude after she hooked me up with a ticket to a Dinosaur Jr. show. They were louder than anything.

The second volume's a bit more indie and a bit less exuberant. Looking back on this, I'm not sure if the Appleseed Cast or Rainer Maria were good choices, but they're good songs anyway.
