Wow. Really liking the new UI! Also? Here's a link to the mix. http://drop.io/ia6ufak

Is it really breaking the rule if the artist records under different names, or even in different bands? Heh!

I like a lot of this, what with my penchant for mopey indie fare. Lots to love here!

FAN-DAMN-TASTIC! I listened to this all morning, and I absolutely *love* it. Thanks for providing a mix that's gonna play for months to come.

I'm with you completely - live and acoustic is the best there is. Fantastic mix, despite some left-field choices!

I'm sad. You should have included a track from the London Funk Allstars album Flesh Eating Disco Zombies Vs. The Bionic Hookers From Mars. I totally recomm*nd that album to everyone, by the way....

I'm not sure how I feel about these mixes. Sure, you've got some bang-up tracks, like Flogging Molly, Placebo (so sadly overlooked), Graham Coxon, Kings Of Leon, Dead Kennedys, etc. But then you lose me with the Limp Bizkit (REALLY?!?!) and My Chemical Romance and.... yeah. So I guess a pretty good mix of stuff I dig and stuff I loathe. :)

Oh, please more mixes. This is excellent!

PS - Extra special props for avoiding the whole "Bloodletting" album.

Dead Can Dance are perfect for this. And you've got HIM! Woot!

I like that Will Dailey fellow, and most of the rest, though a few of these artists have become so overplayed by now that it makes me want to hit the snooze button one more time....

Nice mix of sorta-alt*rnative. I feel like I'm looking at 1995! Especial props for that PE track.

The title made me click. The tracklist made me stay.

While I don't go ga-ga over chocolate (unless it's of the bitter, dark variety [like myself, perhaps?]) I still think this is a nifty mix. Cheers!

I remember losing my own Old Faithful, so I mourn for yours. And this is a moody awesome mix.

And a good reason for a mix, and a good mix to boot. I really like Billy Bragg these days, and Bruce Cockburn is always a treat.

Oh yeah, baby! This is definitely my kind of mix!!! I love everything on here - not a bad track in sight!

PS - Really? No semicolons? Oh, I mourn for English....

Wow, five years. That's amazing, and I took the opportunity to look back at your archives. Holy *crap* that's quite an output just in single mixes! May you mix much longer... if only because I only know a couple of these artists!
11/17/2008 11:43:00 AM
Ooooooh, boy, there's a load here to discover! I *love* it!
11/17/2008 11:42:00 AM
Doubt it's meaningless, but I admit that I'm having a really hard time figuring out who picked what. Doowad, it looks like you stepped way outside your "usual" box here, and I'm really digging the results!

Oh. Goodness gracious. This is... ummm... Goodness!

Just a little somethin' somethin' I threw together for a friend of mine, with a taste of blues and country and indie. I will dutifully link to the mix (which is a mixed mix) on the morrow.

My first attempt at a mixed and produced mix. 1:01:30 of danceable choons swerving from soul to funk to lounge to jazz to... well, lots of things! And a few surprises just for fun. It isn't perfect, …
