Nice: "Live with Me" is one of the sleeper hits on Let It Bleed. Dig the PB&J, and "Land of 1K Dances" is a great closer. K. turned up the volume when "Rehab" came on while we were cooking dinner.

Worthwhile, indeed. And quite interesting because there are several tracks on here that I would not consider to be bests of 2006. (Our tastes might have differed more this year than others.) Regardless, I honestly dig everything in the context of this mix, and it's good to have samples of what I missed and a window into what you didn't. Finally, to reassure you, I only had the YLT and Destroyer albums when I received this. M. Ward's record was sent to me a couple weeks after this. Don't have Cash, though I'm familiar with the song. Good stuff.

And if you want other songs that mention Chicago or landmarks, you might like "Lake Shore Drive" by Aliotta-Haynes-Jeremiah, "These Dudes, They Got a Band" by Vermont, "When the Levee Breaks" by Led Zeppelin and on and on. I'm pretty sure you have "The El" by Rhett Miller, too.
