Comment:
This is a collection of VU covers I felt the need to throw together. There are some tasty versions on here. While putting it together I listened again to The Melvins cover of Venus in Furs and if youve never had the dubious pleasure of hearing it consider yourself very lucky indeed!
Edit: MP3 of track one added after sammyg123's comment and not before which would of course make him stupid. Which we all know he isn't, right?
Feedback:
Not being a VU fan, I still always like to listen to the covers and would love listening to this. Ever heard Rasputina do All Tomorrow's Parties? Glad you left off the Tom Tom Club "Femme Fatale."
Mmm. Love the Marisa Monte, Galaxie 500, Yo La Tengo and Lee Ranaldo tracks especially.
ooooh...yes, very tasty versions and nicely thrown together too. i must go now. i have a sudden urge to bastardise some Andy Warhol artwork. or, would that be re-bastardise. *smiles*
This looks great. I'd love to hear it. For now I can only imagine what Tk 1 sounds like.
This looks fabulous. "I'll Be Your Mirror" alway seemed to be from a slightly different planet than the rest of VU; I wonder what Clem Snide does with it.
Have only heard 3 of these tracks but looks most interesting.
I would love to hear this.
This is simply terrific...top to bottom. Wonderful idea...haven't seen anything like this before...and shazam...you've don it. Great job. Okay, I'm done gushing.
Great selections. Glad you left off Duran Duran's massacre of Femme Fatale, tho not surprised...
Mmm! That Telescopes track, and the comp' it came from, looks tasty
Great stuff! Love the opener esp.
Interesting! Would like to hear the Teenage Fanclub version of Femme Fatale.
Your probably wondering why I haven't commented on this one, Barry. Well, so am I. It's a puzzle isn't it?...shuffles away mumblimg...
