Comment:

A mix I put together for a solo trip into NYC - record shopping (vacation continues!) A mixture of some more aggressive experimental artists. Thanks to LoFi for the Destroy All Monsters and Shawn Porter for the Vibracathedral tune.
The Liars new album is fantastic...tribal, minimalistic, raw...awesome. F all those critics which dissed their last outing, btw. A few more comments, if I may...the new New York Noise Comp by the illustrious Soul Jazz Label is more essential underground no-wave. And, this particular track by Richard Young would HAVE to be in my Top 10 for '05.

Splendid. Love the Ut.Mars.Zu run and the Vibracathedral -> FennO'Berg especially. And I'm with you on the Youngs track, hell, the entire album is great. Enjoy the record shopping trip. Take no prisoners!

Musicgnome, or should that be Spawn of Hades -- I am familiar with a mere four artists on this mix. You have exposed my shallow, sinful, depths. Curse you and your musical Library of Congress brain.Oh but I will have my revenge -- any advice on how I might have this revenge would be most gratefuly received. I'm gonna buy me The Great Book Of ALL Known Things -- that should fox ya!

Solo trips are often the best because it doesn't even come into play what anyone else could care about. Good for you. Have a loud time.

I couldn't agree with you more about Liars and those who put the dirt down on their last album - they just didn't get it! It was great, and the new album is pretty super too, though at the moment I like They Were Wrong better. Of course, I've spent a lot more time with it than I have with Drum's not Dead. Great mix, by the way.

Another fine mix. Lots to discover here for me. If you keep churning out stuff this good then long may your vacation continue!

I am always interested in any mix where I cannot I.D. a single song/artist... 16 out of 16! Hey, I would have never even heard of Death Cab For Cutie if it hadn't been for this site!

Whoah...super-awesome stuff, as usual, Mr. Gnome. You're more than welcome for that VCO track. I also concur with ya on the Liars new and previous albums. Several tracks from that one made appearances on my mixes, I know. I'm also with you (and Curtis) on the Richard Youngs track. LOVE that song.

My batting average is getting lower with your mixes but I know I want to hear this.
