Comment:
Volume 2 of my exploration into the world of high-speed connections and free, legal downloads. This time I stumbled into www.publicdomain4u.com which is chock full of vintage blues mp3's. Some really great old classics on here and just scratchy enough to keep them real.
The years indicated are the best my research could come up with, feel free to let me know if I'm off. I played around with a few different sequences and finally found that chronologically worked just fine, Links are to the individual tracks on the sight,
For those of you who were concerned that my switch to broadband would result in a lack of a life ..... I'll sleep when I'm dead.
Feedback:
Wow, some great stuff here - that internet connection of yours is certainly paying off. Quite a few here I haven't heard, so I think I might head over there and check them out myself. In the meantime, I can listen to that Mississippi John Hurt track five times in a row again (like I've been known to do recently) and be happy.
hot damn this is good -- that high speed connection may be the best thing that's ever happened to you & your mixes (i jest...kinda)
Got ya mojo workin fine here Mark!
Very cool. Please keep letting us know about these great sites you're finding in your semi-conscious haze.
A word of caution from a long time down load addict: watch your hard drive space, and defrag regularly. As for a comment on your mix: see blaskin. Dead on.
Outstanding collection here Mark.
Looks friggin' TREMENDOUS, Mark. I really love this one. And belated happy birthday (by 49 minutes)...
Absolutely love this! And will definitely check out the links - one place I haven't explored before. The Leadbelly song's one of my favourites, and the Son House of course.
You're like a Kid in a sweetie shop aren't you. Happy Days. Happy ( belated ) Birthday and a great, great mix :)
Thanks for the aforementioned links.
Excellent! and good digging. Don't forget to eat...
...deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole...
Oh yes indeedy. Keep diggin' Mark.
