Comment:

A mix I made for that orange time of day--you know, when the sky is orange, a couple of hours right before sunset, and you feel kind of lazy. This is a broader mix than usual, with some Foo Fighters, Jack Johnson, and John Mayer, and there are a few repeated artists. But they all just fit the bill so well!

It's slower to start out, catering to your already-lazy mood, and then picks up toward the end to bring you out of your stupor and prepare you for the evening's festivities.

A bit indie for my tastes, but I like the Foo Fighters.

Hmm, I think indie has a different meaning in the US. That Sarstedt song has made a lot of appearances of late.

yeah, I was a little confused by that comment as well, considering the popularity of at least half of these bands...

"Orange" you clever, Catey-Lou, with a mix theme such as this! May your evenings glow with more fine tunes.

At least I didn't say pizza hippie, which only two people in the world know the meaning of.Of course, I recognize that these bands may be "popular", but that doesn't make me less of a trogladyte. I do like Iron & Wine and want to dig deeper into artists like Death Cab, for example. Personally, I like a mixed genre mix to span a few decades and/or centuries ;-) but that certainly doesn't diminish the quality of this mix.

Any mix about my favorite time of the day has got to be good and this looks especially so.
