Comment:

Inspired first of all by Mark's comment on my last mix which led to the opener, then the mix kind of morphed into something similar to Terry's and Rob's pretentionless mixes. In the end, I think Johnny summed it up best.

The opening couple gave me the impression you'd be taking a familiar route but then I find a great Boo Radleys track, a much underrated band, Portishead and a Rolling Stones number not from their "maturer" stage which pleased me as I prefer early Stones.

I'd have to say that I prefer early Stones too. Love that Bob Mould track.

Nice one. Hey, we almost had Beirut, Bearsuit, and Bersuit Vergarabat all on one mix.

starts out with three of my favorite usual suspects. wanders around for a while, hits a different pocket of favorites at 14-16, slides through a brief blues patch, and Johnny sums it all up. What a ride.

Mm, some curveballs here. Nice artwork and great Velvets track, one which for me includes not only one of the best 'Awlright!'s in music, but also the hands-down best (if not only) 'Na na na na, na, na na na na, na, hey, hey hey baby!'

Johnny always sums things up well, and I like Scotty Moore (great guitarist) making an appearance.

Terrific mix Derek. Plenty of Suprises here. The Boos being the best I reckon. Loving Mates Of State recently too. This is all killer...

Very nice indeed, Doowad. Dig the opener, for sure along with that excellent Portishead track and the VU->Stones->Albert Collins stretch there. good stuff.

A step in another entertaining direction from the Magritte-inspired mixes recently. Shows how much interplay there is among the mix community. You SO rock!

Great! I'm due to do one of these soon. I LOVE that Stones song (is that so wrong?), along with the Townes, Portishead, VU, and Cash.

Wow! The opening 8 was such a fury. I played that over a lot. Infact, I still haven't listened to the rest. I will soon, and if its anything like the first 8 then I'll be playing that over and over and over again.
