Comment:

For Rissa and her truck. This mix owes more to other people than usual... Props to Said The Gramophone for introducing me to the excellent Wave Pictures & Festival songs, thanks to Patrick for telling me about Elvis Perkins, Craig for introducing me to Bon Iver & that June Carter Cash track, Andy for the Mount Eerie track, and Mandy for reminding me how joyous that Dylan track is. Woo. Title from the Perkins' tune, which is one of the most perfect folk ballads (ever).

two in a month? i can only hope this consistency is no fluke, your mixes are much appreciated around here. this is quite beautiful, as usual - 2, 6, 9, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20 & 22 are favorites.

p.s. your mix will be shipped out by early next week at the very latest. i'm quite excited, dear.

This is great. That 11-13 is fab. Loving Bon Iver recently. But it's the pop genius of 'Mockingbird' that makes this mix Perfect..

That Wave Pictures song is indeed excellent. I maybe DJing at their gig at the Windmill in London. This mix spreads its attention wide and is accordingly splendid.

Sweet. Love the Mag Fields, Flaming Lips, Okkervil, Sam Cooke and Dylan tracks. Try as I might, however, I cannot see what the big deal is with Bon Iver (I like it just fine, but don't understand the mass critical orgasm that's been going on)....
