Comment:

This mix features prominently Lew Stone's Band with Al Bowlly on vocals. The times were tough when these songs were produced, but music doesn't get much better than this. The originally 3 CD set for this soundtrack (now out of print) was sent to my Father for Christmas (along with my Christmas CD mix). This distilled, 1 CD, version was sent to other members of my family. The pic is of Al Bowlly who died from the explosion of a parachute mine outside his apartment in Jermyn Street, London during the Blitz (January 7, 1899 - April 17, 1941).

The show has gone to heaven just like Al Bowlly, but the mix makes memories.
