Comment:

Last installment for R&B in the Key of D. This one has the slowest beat of the bunch but is far from boring (this may even be the best of the three). The range of years for the mix is 1957-1975, with the average year of 1967 (so it is a bit more contemporary than the other two). Two artists have two songs each, Jackie Wilson and The Miracles, and I chose to use a picture from the later. This mix has a lot more hits than the other two, with the exception of tracks 3, 8, 9 & surprisingly 16. Track 19 is one of the exceptions that was a huge hit on the Pop and more modestly on the R&B (rather than the other way around). It is also an exception in that it was performed by an all white group, but it is funky and mixes well with the songs surrounding it (the theme of the song is also very colored).

You sure are prolific, Joe! Another D-lightful, nostalgic mix!

This is the one I like best, actually, in the series. Tracks 14 & 15 back to back are terrific songs.

Good work, again! 18 and 19 are my two of my all-time faves.
