Johnny Cash was such a prolific writer (more than 1,000 songs to his credit), it's no wonder so many artists were drawn to his songs. Some of the covers, such as the Oak Ridge Boys' "Daddy Sang Bass," are pretty faithful to the original, but some push the song in a (highly) unexpected new direction.
