Admittedly, collecting covers is kinda dorky, and I think my avidity has something to do with alienation from the musical scene. Much here will be quickly recognizable to tribute disc devotees, though fans of Big Daddy will want to hunt down the brilliant Godfrey Daniel LP. My interest was a fresh take on the material and good sound flow (too often ignored by AoTM'ers). Watch out for the sequel.

Jeez, I thought I was the only one. I just like the fact that these songs are well written, but the production of the time/artist who recorded it was either lame or just bad (Motown/Stax would be the exception, but I like the covers, too). I like pop songs with punch, and this fits the bill.
