Just discovered this sight tonight and the person who turned me onto it is probably going to kill me for including the Beatles covers but this is as eclectic a cover disc as I could think of. I'm stretching the cover thing a little with Amazing Grace and the Irakere but they're really unique versions. If you haven't heard of Ernie Hawkins he's an incredible Piedmont Blues Guitarist out of Pittsburgh who studied under the Reverend Gary Davis and you should seek him out. If this seems a little Tom Waits laden it's because it was originally put together for a disc exchange on the Tom Waits Listserve (Raindogs).

Welcome to the site, Mr. Pettruccelli. :-) Glad to see you here... Some lovely stuff: Al Green, the ubiquitous Rickie Lee, Jonathan, Mr. Waits... and Karen Dalton... hmm... where'd you ever hear of her? heh

yeah, damn nice inclusion of Mr. Waits if I do say so myself. Even 'the heart of saturday night.' Impressive.
