Blackie & The Rodeo Kings

Artist Song Buy

Comment:

It started out as a diverting side project — a way for Colin Linden, Stephen Fearing, and Tom Wilson to salute the artists (like Willie P. Bennett) who meant a great deal to them. But now, Blackie & The Rodeo Kings is a magnificent beast in its own right, a supergroup that has given us such roots nuggets as "Heaven Knows Your Name" from their third album, Bark, and "The Fool Who Can't Get Enough" (featuring gorgeous backup harmonies from Pam Tillis), recorded, like the rest of the Let's Frolic project, at the legendary Bearsville studios in Woodstock, New York. This introduction mixes solo cuts among the collaborations.
