Comment:

So, it's a little strange hearing Chris Cornell cover a stone-cold Michael Jackson jam ("Billie Jean") in a coffee shop context, right? After all, we're talking the same note-nailing belter who once howled over the merry-go-round chords of "Rusty Cage" (later covered by Johnny Cash!), the literal silverware percussion of "Spoonman," and Audioslave's three albums of airtight rhythms and ravenous riffs. Not to mention the veritable madman who weathered the heavy-metal hurricanes of "Jesus Christ Pose" and "Nazi Driver" during Soundgarden's truly grungy early years. At the end of the day, though, "Billie Jean" unplugged and the rest of our Cornell set cuts so close to the bone that your nerves won't stop twitching for weeks.
