Comment:

When Jay-Z introduces you to your first manager (Wyclef Jean of the Fugees, in this case), your career is off to a good start. That, or you're bound to make enemies from the moment you pick up a mic, which seemed to be Canibus' goal from the second he started sparring with LL Cool J on the go-for-the-jugular single "Second Round K.O." While he'd eventually leave LL alone, Canibus would later challenge Eminem to several duels and even take Jean to task for his Can-I-Bus work on "2000 B.C. (Before Can-I-Bus)." All things considered, Canibus is more than a rabble-rouser, though; he's an acrobatic MC with the skills to rub up against the roughest of beats, from the windmill breaks of "Dr C PhD" to the home-on-the-range twang of "Get Retarded."
