Comment:
Here's another installment for the continuous covers challenge. Unfortunately, I don't own all the songs necessary to actually compile this, but wouldn't it be cool? It's an extra-long cassette (120 min.?) or double-CD set with 33 tracks, spanning over 40 years of music history (FYI: oldest = Buddy Holly - "Early in the Morning" (1958), most recent = John Prine "So Sad..." (1999)) and a bunch of musical genres. The mix also comes full circle -- i.e., the opening track is a cover of a song penned by the artist on the final track. If anybody actually has the music collection necessary to pull this off, please let me know!
