November 20, 1996: The first full tape of cover songs I'd ever made, as part of a group trade with then-university friends Sally, Mark and Bill. We never got around to it.

You may catch a bot of an argument over the Fun Boy Three slice being a "cover".....
a bot? (Hmm, maybe a cross between a bit an' a spot..?) A bit...dang-ed fingers....
Yeah, he did co-write it, and his version bears no real resemblance to the one by the Go-Go's. I suppose (for me), it's like Joe Henry's version of "Stop" (more famously known as Madonna's "Don't Tell Me": I consider it a cover because of chronological order. Good point, though.
I prefer the Fun Boy Three version, the first time I saw the video for it I nearly wept. Brilliant! And Gods bless Joe Henry.....I'll keep yer monkey.., and treat him good....
