Comment:

Mr. Bobby Womack's been a power hitter all the way back to the beginning of the game, slamming home runs like the soulful sugar rush "Sweeter Than the Day Before" with the Valentinos, and playing guitar on everything from Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools" to Sly & The Family Stone's There's a Riot Goin' On. Once he got going, there was simply no stopping him; listen in as he chomps right through the Womack/Wilson Pickett cowrite "I'm a Midnight Mover" like a wolf loose in a chicken coop, and see if he doesn't give Wicked Pickett's hit version a run for its money. And when Womack tweaks his sound toward a jazzy pop-funk bounce to croon "So Many Sides of You," he could easily be telling his own tale of spinning out stunning new sounds at every unpredictable turn.
