Comment:
Part 1 of a 2-cd compendium of Neil Young covers. The oft-covered Neil is already the subject of two tribute albums (the first of which, The Bridge, holds up as one of the few standouts in an otherwise atrocious genre of tribute albums). I tried to dig pretty deep for this mix, delving into a large number of bootlegs and even some old vinyl.

Nice stuff..just so you know though...there are more than 2 tributes...there's "The Bridge" of course, with Soul Asylum, Pixies, etc. There's "Borrowed Tunes" a 2 cd set of mostly Canadian artists (1 CD rock, 1 CD folk) and then there's "This Note's For You Too!" another 2 CD set on Inbetweens records from 1999. Lots of cool stuff on that one.
