There's a free CD with the latest edition of Uncut magazine, featuring a selection of cover versions of Bowie songs, but I felt they'd missed some great versions off, so I thought I'd do a second disc to collect some more together.
Admittedly, the tracks on my compilation are not all cover versions in the strictest sense of the word. The Samantha Mumba, Glamma Kid and Vanilla Ice tracks take samples from well known Bowie songs, while the Peter Schilling's 'Major Tom' isn't a cover at all, but I think it's a great track and fits in fine with the general idea. I hope purists won't object too much.

Looks excellent. I questioned the inclusion of Vanilla Ice until I remembered the bass line. Speaking of Uncut CDs, does anyone have the collection of Rolling Stones covers they released about a year ago? Would love to get it.

There's a song by Grandaddy called 'He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot' which I've always felt was a 3d member of the Space Oddity/ Major Tom trio.
