Comment:

I've been a fan of The Doors for a long long time, and these are some of the better covers I've found of their music (and some covers they've done). If anyone knows of any others that are quality, I'd love to know about em.

How about Massive Attack doing Light My Fire?

Obvious as this may be, there's some good stuff on the "Stoned Immaculate" tribute album. Days of the New's version of LA Woman actually stands up fairly well to the original.

The Cure: Hello I Love You. It's not better than the original one but it's not bad either. Gotto love The Cure anyway.

You know, I actually have that Cure cover but I forgot it was on the comp. I feel dumb now. And I dled that Massive Attack song....it was, shall we say, unique? : D btw, maybe it's just me but I disliked both of the Days of the New covers on that tribute. Seemed too chopped for me.

The Residents covered a snippet of Light My Fire on their album "The Third Reich and Roll." It's awesome; Check it out.
