It's a treat knowing my tunes are mixed in with some of my influences...
I'm a HUGE Roach fan myself.

As for stuff on the horizon... well, there is the Hypnos release which I
don't know the exact status on, but last I was told is that it was being
mastered by M. Griffin and next to be released on the label. That's the
"Sanctuary of Dreams" release.

I'm also in the middle of a collaboration with dark-ambient artist Caul
( www.caul.org) I'm behind in my production on this release, but have been
realy busy and my computer konked out. New recording system is arriving

After that, I'll be gearing up for a decidedly tribal-ambient release.
It's in the conceptual stages now, but it's something I'm looking forward
to working on and it looks like it'll be timed just right with the
seasonal changes, which always inspire me.

Stay in touch and thank you again for the kind words and ego boost! :)

Hi Gene-

I saw your mix lists on the Forum -- thought that was pretty cool, and I
love hearing stories about HOW people listen to the music (making mixes,
listening while sleeping/working/reading, etc.). Thanks for including the
tracks from SOLAR NOISE.

Those two VS albums are so different that we were afraid people might hate
PERIHELION and the 3rd Viridian Sun album is still in the "work in progress"
category. We also have a recording I'd like to release someday, "LIVE
PARIS THEATER," which is (in case you can't tell from the title) a live
recording of a show we did at a place called the Paris Theater. It's
probably more SOLAR NOISE than PERIHELION, I guess, but we'll see if
that ever sees the light of day.

Thanks, all, for the comments.

Mr. Mohr
heh...I love tossing a little Segovia in here 'n there; used to use him more frequently.
that particular track is a nice opener to the extreme minimal guitar & background
scratchiness that bowie uses in "Ian Fish.

Thanks again for grabbing some of my tracks - I appreciate it.

Art of the Mix - yeah - wow - I haven't looked here in a very long time. I get
a kick out of mixes. Used to create mixtapes a lot way back when...

The entire "\s/t\r/u\c/\t/u\r/a\l/ chaos" series *is* the standard. Measure twice.....

Great work Gene! I love the Vidna Obmana pick, "Ceremonial", and thanks for tuning me into Interstitial, who sounds great.

g.a.b.'s mixes always have a way of turning into shopping lists for me. Keep up the good work!

A glorious, glitchy, droney collection that's easy to get lost in and not so easy to forget. Makes my brain dance. An incorporeal mix that's got legs. And you're right Gene, that Segovia -> Bowie (hell, make add the Atom too) is a thing of beauty. Inspired.Nod to Muzag for the excellent link too.

make that 2 nods...I printed off a copy yesterday
& read, highlighted
& underscored it last night...one of
those essays that is a wonderful stimulus for thought (more on that later).
And now I know why I often hear ringing telephones whist immerssed in things ambient.

...and it fits right into the "failure" theme too...that Muzag just might be a
certified lunatic genius...
