Comment:

This covers a lot of freshman stuff, like (roughly in this order) leaving, missing home, inability to communicate with anyone, hoping that going home will make things feel better, finding out it doesn't, and acceptance that what's gone is gone.

Casey Trela and Curanda are friends of mine.

Some good tunes on there....Ryan Adam's version of wonderwall breaks my heart everytime. So haunting.

Thanks - yeah, Ryan's tiny changes in the chorus melody definitely do it for me.

That Johnny Cash song is killer. "Human Touch" is an all-too overlooked gem by the Boss.

I agree with the others, and let me add that "Here Comes a Regular" is a great, great, great song.

Adam - I heard "Here Comes A Regular" for the first time this year, and that line "I used to live at home, now I just stay at the house" got to me like few lyrics ever do.

Ian - I didn't mark it, but the version of "I Still Miss Someone" is a live one with Willie Nelson playing guitar... it definitely works for me...

Yeah, Randy, that line was one that always stuck with me too. And freshman year is when the 'Mats became my favorite band, in part because of that song. And "Unsatisfied"...yeah, that one had a lot to do with it too. God, I do love that band.
