4 of 4 in a series...

A collection of avant, experimental and not-so-mainstream musical selection prepared for a soon-to-be-had trip to the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

A Tribute to Curtis Burns, Shawn Porter & Nick Falivena whom inspired these mixes via their constant explorations of paths less traveled.

And...a very earnest head nod to LoFi Jr. for introducing me to Factrix!

Wow...I'm really honored, my friend. Don't think I've ever been part of a tribute mix before. Can't think of any finer company to be in, either. I'm still exploring more paths through the wealth of music I've received from you via our trades. This one looks especially great. Love, love, love the Khanate, Ginnungapap, Factrix (another big up to lo-fr jr.), and the Jose Gonzale->Vetiver stretch.

Fantastic series Chris. Though I'm hardly worthy of such a wonderful tribute, it's nice to be thought of and in such illustrious company too. These discs will make a great soundtrack for a MoMA trip. Sit on the bench in the Mondrian gallery with "Bauhaus Foundation..." looping inside your head. I spent a day at the museum a couple of weeks ago; my first visit since the redesign. I was struck by one gallery (#23 according to my notes, but, not sure that's right) which had on the back wall, stradling a corner, Picasso's "The Kitchen" and Francis Bacon's "Painting." A breathtaking juxtaposition. And, of course, do catch the awe-inspiring "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon." You'll have to elbow past the crowd of lemmings in front of "Starry Night" to get there though ;-)

Great stuff in all four mixes, Chris - so far the first one was my favourite till I saw this, featuring good old June Of 44. Looks wonderful and a pretty mind-blowing listen, overall.

Outstanding quadro-melt here musicgnome.., and the mixers inspiring the set are indeed works of art themselves. The MoMA awaits. Earbuds or headphones?

Consider carrying a big 80's jambox on your shoulder so that all the museum patrons can enjoy Coco Rosie & the Melt Banana. This is mostly unfamiliar to me, except the Jose Gonzalez, which I like.
