Political Mixes1: Anti-Bush-Anti-war 03-08no bordersThere have been a number of AOTM responses to both the war(s) and Bush's actions. Rock started out radical and got political in the 60's, but since then it seems, in general, to have become pretty corporate. It is nice to see old & new songs coming together to comment on the idiocy that the Cheney/Bush administration has gotten us into, and to try to inspire themselves & others to take action. Interesting that there don't seem to be any pro-Bush mixes that I have noticed. Note: due to the continuing war, I have expanded this beyond 2003-4 to 2003-8 :(
Never Too Much of a Good ThingMixxer********************** ********************** Before you view this exhibition, answer a question: if you were going to spend an hour listening to a bunch of covers of one single song, what song would you pick? ********************** **********************
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERSmahdishainone of my favorite type of mix challenge is the question and answer mix. i have tried to collect all the question mixes and the q & a mixes in one place. i am trying to build the ultimate q & a mix. there are lots of questions out there that need answering. get to it, mixers.
Thank God - Religious Mixesno bordersA collection of takes on religion. There is a category of Religion in AOTM, but as far as I can tell you can't actually designate something for that category. Some of the mixes are comments on religion and others are celebrations of religion, mostly Christian. Not just gospel, although lots of gospel in the mixes, and a lot of county, folk & blues, interestingly the majority of the songs are from rock bands. Several mixers (including myself) had other interesting religious mixes (Dom1, FranklinOnn12) that I could not include here due to restrictions on # of mixes per mixer.

TRAIN tracksjoey de vivreMaybe some of us spend more time listening to songs about trains than we do riding them (maybe because service cutbacks haven't affected the music?)
