Oh damn, I meant to make an alt-Christmas mix last season but never got around to it. A lot of these songs would've been on it, esp. Eels and The Raveonettes. But you would've one-upped me anyway by a) finding so many other fantastic indie/non-mainstream contributions that I would never have thought of (my jaw dropped at the sight of tracks 13 and 22), and b) theming it to "Hogfather". So inventive! The books involving Death are the best ones, imo, and anyway it's just a treat to see a reference to Terry Pratchett. I'm gonna bookmark this mix to remember it for XMas '06
