Comment:

so here's the scoop - these days it seems like every record company is trying to turn a profit by "remastering" and "expanding" old releases. and it works - i've bought my share of these albums (and probably will for some time). i thought this concept could work with some of my mixes as well. really, the catalyst was borrowing my dad's old car for a day with only a tape deck in it, so i found my old mix tapes. this one has really aged pretty well (you can look up the old tracklisting on this site)so i thought i'd put it to the digital generation.
i tried to stay as true as i could to what i was listening to at the time - i resisted the urge to make myself "cooler" by putting in stuff i didn't really listen to, but should have (in my opinion).
i'm missing a few albums on cd that i loved back then (cactus world news and the rainmakers first album come to mind - if anyone has these on cd and want to trade for copies, let me know)
i also make no apologies for rush and david lee roth being here - i still like 'em and stand behind the albums that these came from.
enjoy!
