today is my best friend in the entire world's birthday, so i made her this mix. i can't help but feel guilty for reusing the three birthday songs from a previous birthday mix, & even a few other songs from different mixes i've made recently. i can't quite put my finger on it, but this just doesn't feel cohesive or complete - i don't like how the birthday songs are over within the first six tracks, yet it didn't flow right when placed in any other order. other than that, i love the closer, & there are several other songs here that completely exemplify our friendship to a T, so i guess it's not a total loss. i'll make it up to her with the next mix.
Feedback:
I don't think I know that Cure song? In terms of its cohesiveness and completeness, I can't tell as I am not as familiar with some of these songs. But it looks like a fun mix. Especially if all of the songs have a significance to them. We perfectionists sometimes worry too much about how friends will react to their mixes ;)
I really like tracks 3-4, 10, 12, and 14-16...
Looks good to me. It's actually probably a good thing that you didn't overdo it with the birthday songs. Haven't yet heard the last track, but "Two of Us" is a great second-to-last track (if that makes any sense). But hey, can't hurt to make her more mixes. Especially if they manage to beat this.
This is really cute, since my best-friend-ever named Carly would love this.
