Comment:
And you got paid on Friday, your pockets are jinglin'
Then you see the lights and you get all tinglin'
Cause you're cruisin' with a six
You're lookin' for the heart of Saturday night
Feedback:
here's to the batchelors and the bowery bums!
good job with the opener and closer.
Interesting assortment, not the ones I would have thought of, BUT BETTER.
It should be an inspiration to us all that a guy with a voice & a face like that can make it!
Hoist That Rag aside....
Where the fuck is the modern Waits?
You've got 1 track produced after Swordfishtrombones man.
Cut out Hoist That Rag and make it a Tom Waits ballad collection.
Some of my favorite early Waits. Excellent!
Trying to put together a Waits mix of ONLY 80 minutes is always a daunting tast. Nice selection of junkyard ballads, grand weepers, dog-eared postcards and emotional travelogues.
A fine tribute to one of the most unique artists and voices still active.
Very, very effective 80-minute dose of Waits.
I guess everyone has the right to their opinion- as misguided as it may be (re:previous comment). I think the title sets the mood for the mix.#19 is one of my top 10 favs. Keep the good stuff coming...
Yep ! I guess that Tom is a bit like Marmite . . . love him or hate him . . . not much neutral ground. I'm a fan but don't think I would have attempted a single artist mix. Fair play to you . . . I guess we would have had about 10 matches if I had done this. I suspect that yours might be better . . .
he's one of my favorites and this looks grand. and I'm pretty sure Frank's Wild Years, I Don't Wanna Grow Up, Picture In a Frame, etc. are also post-Swordfishtrombones, man.
Very, very nice. But Rob is right. It's tough to limit this to 80 minutes. Maybe an MP3 playlist or Audio DVD? But this'l;l do just fine in the meantime. Have to go out and get a six, now.
Very nice, I sense a second volume soon!
Wonderful collection Terry. I hope for further volumes, man.
Oh yes oh yes. The final stretch of songs looks especially great.
Not the biggest Waits fan, but I appreciate what you've accomplished here. Great individual mix.
Some great picks as expected. I made a single artist mix a while back on Mr Waits but used only his more mellow stuff so didnt ever post it at the risk of offending people better placed to make something like this. Youve got a really balanced disc here Terry. Kudos to you.
Looks great. I'd be able to say more if my Waits exposure went past three key albums, but I'm happy to see my favorite make the cut at #19. Good closer choice, too.
Oh, hell yes, a Waits mix. I like that you've spanned his career, too, up until his last box set.

Man, I have got to post my Waits mix.
