Comment:

After throwing together some carnival songs for her to help her complete a compilation of carnival poetry, Gillian was kinda bummed out by Iron & Wine's "The Trapeze Swinger," since it is one of the saddest songs ever. So I whipped up a "Happy Happy Joy Joy mix" at her request. The first song was another carnival-oriented song I found too late for the previous compilation, and then this CD gets into the fun part and stays that way.

You gotta love an upbeat indie pop mix, and you've certainly assembled on here. Let's hear it for the young folks!

Amen to Moe's comment. With the Minders, Voxtrot, Of Montreal, the mighty Manx o' Kingsbury, etc., you've done as asserted. (Always good to see a Keen Guy mix.)

Wow -- I like almost every band here, and several of these songs are among my favorites (2, 5, 6, 11, 18). This is some fantastic indie pop!
