Comment:
Notes:
-The idea here was to create a tape that would help cosy up a room, whether falling asleep by yourself or snuggling up with another.
-Again, I edited the beginnings and endings of songs to cut out unecessary silence or chatter wherever I felt it appropriate...leaving little space between songs, giving the tape a better, speedier flow.
-For the songs with asterisks* beside them, I have uploaded them, as they may be either hard to get or are significantly edited from their original format.
-Much deliberation was spent on track selection and overall cohesion, a whole 12 songs not making it into the final version.
-The Grant Lee Buffalo/Beach Boys/Grizzly Bear is intended as a little Brian Wilson three-piece suite
-The second side is intentionally more slumbersome, though Neil Young's campfire crackling is placed mid-way to ensure you haven't nodded off entirely
-Finally, as the fading notes of "Havalina" tinkle into "Let's Dance," the last stretch of the tape does everything in its power to sooth you into the sweetest of dreams
Feedback:
I love your idea and these songs are perfect. Thanks for the downloads. I'm building my library and these songs rock! I would trade with you but I haven't much to offer. You worked hard on this and it shows.
