Comment:

A little late to the party I know. This was actually completed December 31st, but I hadn't gotten around to posting it here until now. I've been doing these best of compilations every year since '03, and each year I end up listening to more and more music to draw from. I'm quite pleased with this year's selections and there was just so much that I wanted to include that I went for two discs. This first is a bit louder and more "rock" oriented than disc 2.

That Long Winters track definitely qualifies.

Lots of tunes I missed and need to check out; the BTS track made my year-end mix as well.

Glass-Handed Kites was one of my favorite 2006 releases, imported it early in the year because I was too impatient to wait for the summer U.S. release. And hey, Keane, their newer stuff has been intriguing me. Looks good.
