Comment:

Songs about death. Pretty straightforward. I tried to incorporate various musical styles, as well as include songs that represented many different angles and facets of death. I really like the first disc, but sometimes I feel the second is sort of meh. I may have gone a bit too avant-garde with it, and I definitely included too many spoken word pieces. Download it here. Link is dead for the time being. Be patient while I fix some things. If you actually did want to download this, just send me an e-mail, and I'll let you know as soon as I reupload it.

Kathryn won't let me play Current 93. Great closing song.

If this mix was edible I'd break it apart into a bowl, pour milk over it and eat it with a spoon. That's how much I enjoyed this mix (spoken word pieces and all). This just happened to catch me on the perfect day when I met my own mortality presented in the form of my uncle's (who much more like a father than an uncle) heart attack and resulting triple bypass. This made poignant listening material as we waited for the long distant call for news of his surgery (he's fine, btw, or at least, will be after a lengthy recovery period). Plus it includes some of my fav artists. I hope it gets the appreciation I think it deserves.

"The last thing I hear is a click." ... I would have put that as the last track on one of the discs, but maybe that's too predictable.

the paper chase... good stuff, they're always great for a darker tune.
