Comment:
For a friend's party back home; title from track 5.As you may be able to tell, I am from the country. Yes, that's right: I am a born and bred redneck and I love country music and campfire keggers. My friend hosted a Corral Keg this past Friday night and this was my setlist as DJ. Lots of drunk cowboys staggering around = lots of fun for me, the most sober/least drunk of them all. Download is on its way.
Feedback:
I'm a completely recent convert to appreciating country. I grew up being force-fed a lot of outlaw country, and at the time I hated listening to it. Somehow I started listening to some alt-country stuff, which led me back to the outlaws, and finally into the bluegrass/traditional stuff. All of which is my long-winded way of saying I'm feeling this mix, even if it's a little too "mainstream" for my taste, and despite the fact that every time I'm in the bar and hear that Big & Rich closer, I want to strangle the nearest baseball cap-wearing Wisconsinite I see. :-)
It looks like good-time music.
not what i expected from the title. i'm with gabe except for the part about strangling wisconsitites.
18 was a perfect (must-have?) addition. now just some david allen coe, and i'm back in high school...
Hats off on the mix from this transplanted New Englander now living in East Tennessee ... in the country where they talk a different language than I'm used to. (br)
Recently a ranch hand named Billy saw me outside and asked me something which sounded like "Yet, yet?
(br)
Later on, the foreman of the ranch across the street told me Billy was asking if I'd had lunch.
Paisley and Cross Canadian Ragweed are my favorites here. A bit mainstream for my taste, but a nice overview. Thanks for no Shania or Kenny Chesney.
