Comment:
The usual collection of indie, powerpop, punk and sixties sounds. Oh and a bit of German electro pop from the eighties. It's all so predictable and so obvious. Zzzzz. Here's a quiz to liven things up,name the member of the Squad who went on to greater things.
Feedback:
Another fine one! We are not there yet, so keep the music playing.
Holy shite! I am literally 100% in the dark on this one...I think I may have heard of Apple Creation, but I have to express my utter ignorance at the rest...
predictable??? not to me, I can't even sort out which is punk & which is electro German. I do love the band names, though - especially "Kissamatic Lovebubble" . . .
Great TBS and Sea Urchin songs. I'm afraid that I don't know any others though. Time to do some digging.
like i always say: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. looks like another good one...
Now this I've GOT to hear. Love the Trembling Blue Stars, Sea Urchins, Postmarks & Bergen White. But.. Accrington Stanley? Who are they?
Not sure about the answer to the quiz, but I'm sure it's someone very Special :)
What Sammy said...would looove to hear this.
Yes, please... :)
No idea who was in The Squad, let alone where they went. PS - I am afraid of the Wave Picture's album.
Sammyg, it is someone very Special.
Love the Remains track, middle-of-the-road on Trembling Blue Stars in general, and am completely clueless as to the rest (I've heard *of* the Sea Urchins, though) while trusting your taste.
Accrington Stanley? Drink up yer milk or you'll end up playing for em! I know Farrah and The Sea Urchins after that it's all educational.
Still no idea on the Quiz answer. Although I'm sure the member was a Fun Boy..
Terry Hall,Sammy,as I'm sure you know...
So few I know, that my commentary is almost pointless, but I do recognize the National Gallery, Astronauts (one can never go wrong with their inclusion) and the Postmarks. And, the Der Plan is freakin' tops!!!! And, for what it's worth, I have come to love sea urchin! The food item, that is. Can't speak about the band (at least, I don't think I can)
Missed this one the first time. Damn those vacations! I'm never leaving the house again. Anyway, this would only be a "usual collection" for the type of people who frequent this site. Yes, I'm not familiar with a good percentage (as opposed to a bad percentage) of this, but I do see some favorites: National Gallery, TBC, Bergen White, Postmarks, Relationships, Sea Urchins and ... well that's it, I guess. I'm spent. Cool mix, Mr. Murdoch.
