this mix has been in the works for years, but kept getting altered. another reason to throw a bunch of different female vocalists together. variety highly influenced this list. I am back to working on some of my own material that is influenced by these different styles & singers, & i intend to finish an album i've been putting off. It's not cloned from these songs, but there are lots of influences from all over the place... sometimes moody, dark, electronic, folksy, androgynous, etc. I've never wanted to do just the chick+guitar act or be another female singer over a dance beat... but i love it when they mix it just right (like some of these do), & that's what i'm gonna shoot for... with some cool guitar effects, of course.
