Comment:
Nothing much to say... Therion began life as a pretty good death metal act, evolved to deliver their magnum opus ("Theli") in 1996 and, since then, they (or he, Christofer Johnsson) have failed to record anything worth hearing, as I find their/his later output to be a cross between the heady rumblings of conceptual prog-metal and Manowar. Sure, "The Secret of the Runes" is a good album, but hard as I tried I couldn't find any track from it that could replace the ones on this cd
Feedback:
Wish I knew more about this band to comment intelligently, but alas I do not. Judging by your notes, it should be a fine compilation for the band's fans.
Neat. I don't know their whole oeuvre, but did use a song of theirs in From the Garden of Eden..."
Amazing how well metal has lasted since its humble birth in the late '60s. Thanks for introducing us to a lesser-known group here.
