This particular mix leans heavily on some of the more experimental and/or innovative sounds of the early 1980s. I've used that Grandmaster Flash track on a few tapes and discs, as if to prove it is one of my very favorite rap tracks. BTW, until the last four or five years I only knew Hoyt Axton for his role as the crackpot inventor-loving father in GREMLINS and knew "The Pusher" through Steppenwolf and Blind Melon. What a revelation to hear the Axton version. Title from the Captain.
