Comment:
Probably just about as good as 1967; perhaps the novelty of the early British psychedelia is getting a bit worn here, but still plenty of great innovation going on. San Francisco scene still going strong. As tends to be the case with some of these 60s mixes, the Stones/Beatles (and to some extent the Who/Kinks) tracks are just so perfect that everything else gets a bit overshadowed, though appearances from my favorite Byrds album, the Zombies, the VU, and a few others stand up nearly as strong.
Feedback:
I'm a bit bummed by soul music not being represented, but hey, you got plenty of good stuff. "Green Tambourine" was the first song played by WNEW-FM to announce it was switching to a progressive rock format, which turned out to be a multi-decade run. Great era in music.
