Comment:

For sport, as promised. 80 minutes of stuff that's really been dominating my listening over the past couple of weeks. I have a lot of acknowledgments on this one... thanks to Sean Lally for the Pandoras and NRBQ tracks, buglady for the Mark Growden track, and Ion Moe for the Gloria Jones track. Thanks also to whomever it was that recently posted this Promise Ring track on a mix... it reminded me of how much I liked it when I heard it in my head. Title from the (recently re-mastered!) Psych Furs track.

I know it's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it! I'm not familiar with that Stones track however. BTW, I see my mixes made it to your house okay

To Trevor: Me putting a single song by a band on a mix doesn't make me a huge fan of the band, although I think they're pretty decent. To Peter: Yeah, I agree 100% about "Winter"--no one ever mentions it--and yeah, you should definitely check out Okkervil River. I only know that single Mark Growden song, though, so can't vouch for him. To Ion: Yup, or rather, I got the package late last week. Thanks! "Winter" is on "Goat's Head Soup", which is an amazing, totally underrated record. And Rosie: No problem. I went with the mono. :-) Thanks for the compliments, folks.

Hey babe. You really like Lou's version of "Andy's Chest" more than the VU version? Dunno about that. Ah, the great Pandoras. And Paula Pierce begat Kim Shattuck, just as Fred begat Lamont..... Sorry, getting all religious on ya. Well done, old chap.

Man, I haven't heard that Nilsson song in ages, but it's an absolute classic. Nice mix, Rob.

Another great mix. I especially like the way the the mix ends with those last three songs. Good choices.

If you'd ever care to make another trade, this is the mix I'd really like to have. Where in the world did you find that Papa M song?
