Hey, don't diss NFG, JEW, or the White Stripes. The rest of it I don't care to think about, except maybe Musiq Soulchild.
NFG and JEW are the worst offenders of the bunch because they try and pass what they do off under the guise of earnestness. I'd much rather listen to some stuff that knows it's stupid and fun, like "Hot in Herre" or "AWNAW" than some "honest" MOR crapola like JEW or NRG or Saves the Day, for that matter. And the White Stripes aren't bad, just wildly overrated.
yea it's bullshit, mindless numbing party music. but fuck partys are fun. granted i wouldn't play hot in herre over and over to get all the hidden value and meaningful lyrics, but i'd dance to it at a party. shit i don't think were in big trouble because pop music is shallow, i mean is that a new thing??? and 2 small corrections. grindin' is by Clipse and musiq soulchild droped soulchild from his name. his just musiq.
