Comment:
My friend Stella's off to New Jersey to visit the boyfriend and this was my going-away present. Started off kind of alt-country and for wandering around at dusk with headphones on, and devolved into a slight nod to our favorite bass player of the summer, Barry Adamson of the Bad Seeds, Birthday Party, Magazine etc. Who also seems to be the compositional bastard son of Angelo Badalamenti. Anyway we love him. I wanted to end with 'the carnival is over' because it's beautiful, but decided the mix had turned out lovelorn enough, which wasn't even my intention. Hope she enjoys.
