Comment:

More train music. This one is the perfect soundtrack for the ride, whether it's early in the morning, with the sun rising and the fog clinging to the marshes, or later when it's dark, and the mysterious shapes outside my window are sometimes revealed by the train's lights. I can actually read to this one, and so far I haven't come close to getting tired of hearing it. You've just GOT to hear the Bela Fleck song, Bach on banjo and what sounds like vibes...very cool.

absolutely beautiful mix, Deanna. I made a similar one about a month ago, and it's calming as the blue sea.(Not the pacific though, cause that's not very calm, despite the name)

The pieces I know from this are truly heartbreaking. Speaking of classical on non-traditional instruments, have you ever heard Clara Rockmore's classical theremin stuff? You'd dig it, though it can creep you out after a bit.

Very lovely!
I always tried to play the 3rd movement of the Moonlight Sonata...
I still have to practice

Beautiful Buglady. I'm almost jealous of your 3 hour commute...almost.

Very nice indeed. And the Bela Fleck sounds interesting (even though I'm no fan of his speed banjo, technically accomplished though it may be). Great mix!

Jazz? And now Classical? I'm honestly concerned about your listening habits. This stuff will never last. ;)

Sean--
I've only heard her version on the swan, I'm sure the rest is just as haunting.

Hey, you have an Erik Satie track here. That guy is amazing! As for Clara's theremin work... you'll be needing to hear that. Ion's right, though. This classical music thing is just a flash in the pan (as the kids say).

Whoa. Looks neat. Please place this at the top of my pile, as I could use a bit of education in the classical department...

Hmm.., once again I am "bamfuzzled" on most of this...although I may have heard much of it at one point or another I wouldn't likely be able to name them in a "Name That Tune" contest...I *do* know this: you make great mixes and this, I suspect, is no less than the rest.

If you are even remotely into classical music this is a must have. The mix maintains a great tone throughout. The only thing I would have thrown on here is "Clair De Lune," but something tells me buglady thought of this.
