Comment:

A bit of a religiously themed mix. Not that I had an epiphany over the holidays or anything, my views on these things remain the same (see my Global Choral: Sacred & Profane Choral Music From Around The World which shares some artists with this mix).Jonathan Swift once said:"We have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another."...but I hope you won't hate this.

This looks really excellent, Muzag. What I know, I like. Good stuff.

Nothing wrong with this mix. Music like this moves us heathens far more than the rightiousness of religious dogma. Love to hear this sometime.

Safer than the treacle pouring from the pulpits..., and more entheogenic as well......(those taking an MAO inhibitor are discouraged from taking this. For exact side-effects consult Muzag.) Sweet honey in the rock friend..., baraka!

Great idea and mix. Battle Hymn of the Apocalypse by Anton LaVey would have added a twist.

Wow. Love this as I loved your "Global Choral." The Mahalia Jackson through Al Green is especially glorious.

Yes, Gary. A worthy companion to the hugely enjoyable "Global Choral", but then I haven't heard a bad mix from you yet, my friend. I echo the sentiments of Valis, Cassetta and all the other "Sinners".

No matter what one may think of "religion," (and I don't think much of it myself), I think we all have a spiritual side. This looks like manna for the spirit.

I love that Swift quote, and this mix looks really wonderful - not that I see myself coming over to the "light" side any time soon :-) Nice use of Gary Davis.
