Some of the more cerebral members of AOTM may be offended by this since it doesn't "posit questions" or create "new ways of listening" (ahem). I mean, it's mostly just mere pop music. But I enjoy listening to it and it puts me in a good mood when I listen to it on the El to work. And that's often all you can ask of music. Mostly a mix CD I burned for a friend this past week along with songs I've been digging a lot lately. Thanks Jana, for the Elvis track.

I sense a little bitterness in your comments! Mix tapes are what they are and all that matters is whether you enjoy listening to the end result. If someone else enjoys it, too, all the better. Anything sought beyond that is phoney.
