Comment:

One of my first CDs where I used restraint and didn't throw in Willie Nelson's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" , Calla's "Fear of Fireflies" and a song by Halley. My fiance accused me of coming close to a rut, so I stubbornly refused to put them on even though I am not tired of listening to them. I did include my new "on every CD I make" song, the Pastels "Nothing to Be Done". What an awesome song! Reminds me of high school, but cooler than all the cheeseballs I went to high school with!

How nice to get a positive comment! The songs you mentioned are beautiful, gorgeous songs. I resisted listening to NMH for a long time (amazon can be so pesky with their recommendations, you know), but I just love them now. Not everyone loves the Gentle Waves, but that song sounds so 60-ish. I think my friend will like it, no matter what. This is like an intro to indie for him. Thanks again for the comment.
