Comment:
These are the 17 of the most depressing songs I've ever heard in my life.
The songs fit nicely on a 80 minute CD-R, and all tracks can be found on published CDs, apart from the Third Eye Blind track which is only available on MP3 (The lyrics were determined inappropriate for the release of 3eb's album Blue due to the Columbine incident, so they changed that track to an instrumental version for the album.)

I could die, very comfortably, to this. Preferably in my sleep.

I have to disagree with something on here... "From Despair To Where" is nowhere near the Manics most depressing song. Despite the lyrics, it actually sounds quite uplifting. Perhaps "You're Tender And You're Tired" or "The Everlasting" would have been better for slow sad songs? The appropriate choice for killing yourself should probably be "Die In The Summertime" though...

Damn. I never thought of Lost in The Supermarket as a depression induced song. But it is a great pick, along with the Radiohead, and the Elliott Smith track is one of my all times favorites.
